Apple released watchOS 9.0.1 on Thursday evening, a minor update to the watchOS 9 operating system that was introduced in September. watchOS 9.0.1 is available for the Apple Watch Ultra and will be a day-one update for those who receive the new model tomorrow.
Apple Watch Ultra owners can download the update by opening the Apple Watch app on the iPhone and navigating to General > Software Update. To download the new software To install, the Apple Watch must have a battery level of at least 50 percent, be connected to a charger, and be within range of the iPhone.

According to Apple's update description, watchOS 9.0.1 fixes an issue that can cause the sound to be distorted during phone calls over the speakers.
