The well-known application “Sleep Cycle Alarm & Tracker” was officially released for watchOS today. This means that the brand new app can be used completely independently on the Apple Watch.
The popular sleep analysis app was officially released for watchOS in 2018, but was quickly discontinued due to "limitations" in iOS. Now it's back - fully optimized for watchOS and independent of iOS. Sleep Cycle is an alarm clock and tracker that analyzes sleep patterns and uses a smart alarm to wake the user in their lightest sleep phase.
This means that if the alarm is set to 5:00 a.m., the user will be woken up sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. - the app automatically selects the appropriate time.
Reduce battery consumption with Theater Mode
The recorded data is synchronized directly with the Health app on the iPhone. While an iPhone was previously required for this, Apple Watch users can now use the app completely iOS-free. When it comes to battery consumption, the developers recommend putting the Apple Watch into theater mode to reduce battery consumption. It is also recommended to activate "Do not disturb" in order to be woken up as gently as possible. The app is now available for download in the watchOS App Store. You don't have an Apple Watch yet and don't want to wait any longer? Then take a look at our Amazon Storefront There you will find some of the Apple Watch Series 3, 4 and 5 models and more.
