Apple presented the Apple Watch Series 7 at the “California streaming” event in September. The new smartwatch can now be officially pre-ordered.
The unveiling of the Apple Watch Series 7 was a very special moment. Many leakers around the world have claimed that the new smartwatch will have a body with flat edges and a slightly larger display. While the display is now indeed larger, the body has only been refined rather than completely redesigned. Jeff Williams, Apple's Chief Operating Officer, explained:
The new Retina display on Series 7 has nearly 20% more screen space than the Series 6, and it's an even bigger leap than the Series 3, with over 50% more screen space. The Series 7 display has been completely redesigned to reduce the bezels to just 1.7 millimeters, which is 40 % thinner than the Series 6. It's an incredible innovation that maximizes screen space while barely changing the dimensions of the watch itself.
