Apple Watch Series 5 owners have been experiencing unusual issues for months, including high battery drain and unexpected shutdowns, as well as erroneous battery indicators.
According to various reports, some owners of an Apple Watch Series 5 are experiencing unusual problems. Unexpected shutdowns and battery problems are documented. This is reported by various platforms, including MacRumorsAffected models are said to show a battery level of 100 percent for 5 to 6 hours before it suddenly drops to 50 percent and the watch then unexpectedly switches off.
Apple Watch Series 5: Hardware or software problem?
Other users report that the Apple Watch Series 5 reaches 99 percent in a very short time when charging but never reaches 100 percent. What is interesting is that reports of problems with the battery indicator have been documented since the device was launched. But now the number of complaints is increasing. The problem cannot necessarily be narrowed down to the latest software version, namely watchOS 6.2.8. Some of the affected users were able to solve the problem by having their smartwatch exchanged by Apple. Those who go the traditional route and reset the watch will not be successful. For this reason, some believe that it is a hardware error rather than a software error. Apple itself has not yet commented on the issue. The company may yet comment on it.
