On December 7, Telefonica expanded its eSim offering. The Apple Watch is now also supported and sold.
For example, anyone who wanted to use the embedded SIM in the Apple Watch had to resort to Deutsche Telekom or Vodafone. Telefonica customers were disappointed until recently. Now the LTE version of the Apple Watch can be purchased from O2 and equipped with an eSim (embedded SIM). The company announced this in a short press release.
O2 customers who already own an Apple Watch with LTE can apply for the eSim online, in the shop or by phone. Activation or exchange is free of charge - depending on the contract model, additional monthly costs may apply.
