Apple released a new firmware version for the AirPods Pro yesterday evening. The update to 2D15 is now available.
The new AirPods Pro firmware 2D15 has been in the works for some time and now it's officially here. It replaces versions 2C54 and 2B588. Apple has not communicated what new features the firmware 2D15 has in store. Since complaints about the ANC feature have already been documented several times, the update could focus on that, among other things. In general, such updates often contain performance improvements, bug fixes and function adjustments. At this point, it remains to be seen what users have to report in the next few days.
The update is automatic
The update of the AirPods usually happens automatically as soon as the AirPods are connected to a device and in use. However, this process can be delayed. In some cases, however, the update can also be forced immediately. To do this, connect the AirPods case to a power source, remove the AirPods and pair them with an iPhone or iPad. The update could then start immediately. However, there is no guarantee of this.
