Before its official opening on April 9, 2022, Apple has released a preview of the Apple Myeongdong Store, revealing its largest store in South Korea.
After an initial announcement and the announcement of the opening date, Apple has now unveiled images of the new Apple Myeongdong Store – including the K-Pop collaboration. Deirdre O'Brien, Senior Vice President of Retail + People at Apple, expressed as follows:
We are excited to deepen our relationship with our Korean customers with the opening of this special store in Myeongdong. Our incredible retail team is ready to welcome the local community and we invite everyone to be inspired by Apple's innovative products and services.

This also includes the Today at Apple Remix event series in the store. Similar to the US Apple stores with their Lady Gaga remix sessions, users will remix a song by the K-pop group Seventeen at this special Today at Apple event.

This time, it's a new, unreleased single from the group. "Darl+ing" will be featured in stores and users will be shown how to deconstruct it using GarageBand on the iPad. The single is from Seventeen's upcoming album, which is set to be released in May 2022.

Apple Myeongdong is a two-story store that, according to Apple, is located at the base of a brand new tower in the city. At both corners of the store are landscaped gardens with sculptures made by Korean artists.
Apple Myeongdong also features the first installation of a horizontally supported, double-height glass facade made transparent by glass risers.
The store will officially open on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time. As with other recent openings, customers who want to visit the store on the first day must make a free reservation in advance for health reasons. (Image: Apple)
