We recently talked about reportedthat Apple might expand TV+ content with podcasts – now the rumor has been partially confirmed.
Apple could produce podcasts based on existing TV+ content in order to promote it. Now “Little America” producer Lee Eisenberg has partially confirmed the report. According to him, a podcast based on the new series “Little America” is planned. Forbes Eisenberg explained:
Apple is such a global and multifaceted brand. We're doing a podcast to explore more of the stories and the music of the show. There will also be a playlist for each episode. We're also going to be releasing a book. Apple has an infrastructure that just felt like it would be able to touch all the different pieces that we wanted.
Apple was in favor of this from the beginning
The rumor seems to be true, even though further podcast content has not yet been confirmed. The producers of "Little America" revealed during the interview that many TV stations were somewhat hesitant about the project. In the end, they decided on Apple because the company was behind it from the beginning and had complete trust in the team. Kumail Nanjiani explained:
We advertised in different places and the truth is that some of these more traditional networks that have been around for decades were a little hesitant about the show.
