Apple has released images of its new Apple Store on Brompton Road. The new Apple Store opens in London on Thursday and features a vaulted wooden ceiling and plenty of plants.
The opening of the new Apple Brompton Road store was announced on July 18th and will take place on July 28th. In the run-up to the opening, Apple is promoting the store with a photo tour of the impressive location. Apple Brompton Road is the sixth Apple Store in London and is said to be inspired by the "local fauna". Twelve towering Sicilian ficus trees line the seven-metre-high, floor-to-ceiling windows and entrance area, with seating at the base of each tree serving as a "social gathering point for visitors, blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors".

Visitors walk through the central arcade, which mirrors the original Brompton Arcade from 1903 on the same site. The store's forum also features the first mirrored ceiling in a UK Apple store. The terrazzo floor is made from a plant-based resin, a world first for the company.

The space is dominated by a unique curved wood ceiling that matches the archways at the front of the store. Deirdre O'Brien, Senior Vice President of Retail + People at Apple, expressed as follows:
We are thrilled to open Apple Brompton Road in London, a city full of energy, history and cultural diversity. The store's focus on creativity gives our incredible team members the perfect space to share their passion and expertise with Londoners and visitors from around the world.
The store's opening will feature United Visions, an AR experience celebrating the works of London poet and painter William Blake. Developed for the Getty Museum by artists and creative technologists Tin Nguyen and Ed Cutting, the app features a poetic soundtrack by Grammy-winning producer Just Blaze.

The weekend will also include a panel discussion with the trio, a special performance and spatial audio listening session by artist Nina Nesbitt, and live illustration sessions from Apple Creative Pros. Jay Blahnik, Apple's vice president of fitness technologies, will also be in attendance and will participate in a Q&A session before a 3K walk and 5K run in Hyde Park. (Image: Apple)
