Apple released watchOS 6.1, watchOS 5.3.3 and macOS 10.15.1 Catalina to all users this evening.
The new updates for Apple Watch and Mac devices are now available. Users of Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2 can look forward to watchOS 6.1, as they will finally receive the new watchOS operating system. macOS 10.15.1 Catalina Update
- The macOS Catalina 10.15.1 update includes updated and additional emojis, support for AirPods Pro, HomeKit secure video, HomeKit compatible routers, and new privacy settings for Siri. This update also includes bug fixes and improvements.

- Over 70 new and updated emojis, including animals, food, activities, new accessibility emojis, gender-neutral emojis, and selectable skin tones for emoji pairs.
AirPods
- Includes support for AirPods Pro
app "Home"
- The HomeKit Secure Video feature allows you to reliably record, save and display encrypted videos from your security cameras. It is now also possible to detect people, animals and vehicles.
- HomeKit-compatible routers let you control how your HomeKit devices communicate over the Internet or in your home.
- AirPlay 2 compatible speakers are supported in scenes and automations.
Siri
- In privacy settings, you can choose whether you want to help improve Siri and Dictation by allowing Apple to store audio recordings of your interactions with Siri and Dictation.
- Ability to clear your Siri and Dictation communication history from Siri Settings.
This update includes the following bug fixes and improvements:
- Restores the ability to display file names in the All Photos view of the Photos app.
- Restores the ability to filter by Favorites, Photos, Videos, Edits, and Keywords in the Days view of the Photos app.
- Fixed a bug that caused Messages to only send a single notification when the option to repeat alerts was enabled.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Contacts app to open the previously opened contact instead of the contact list.
- Fixed an issue that could occur in the Music app when displaying playlists in folders and newly added songs in the track list.
- Improved reliability when migrating iTunes libraries to the Music, Podcasts, and TV apps.
- Fixed a bug where downloaded titles were not visible in the Downloads folder of the TV app.
watchOS 6.1 update
- watchOS 6.1 brings support for AirPods Pro and includes improvements and bug fixes.
- This update also includes watchOS 6 for Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2.
