As expected, Apple has released the second beta of iOS 14.2, iPadOS 14.2, tvOS 14.2, watchOS 7.1 and the ninth beta of macOS 11 Big Sur to all registered developers.
On September 17, Apple somewhat surprisingly announced the first Preview of iOS 14.2, iPadOS 14.2, tvOS 14.2 and watchOS 7.1 released. The second version can now be downloaded. iOS 14.2 mainly fixes bugs and improves existing features. However, there are also a handful of innovationsThe media controls in the control center have been revised and the AirPlay button in Apple Music has been updated. But the absolute highlight is a new element in the control center - music recognition. This means that under iOS 14.2 it is possible to integrate Shazam into the control center. Whether the second beta of iOS 14.2 contains further innovations remains to be seen for now. If there are any notable changes or even leaks, we will report on them separately, as usual.

Notice – As usual, a preview should not be installed on an actively used iPhone or iPad, as these are usually quite unstable and error-prone – we recommend a second device for this. (Photo by Putilov Denis / Bigstockphoto)
