Apple released the second release candidate version of macOS Big Sur 11.2 to developers and a public beta to users this evening.
After Apple released the first release candidate version of macOS Big Sur 11.2 on January 21st published has, the second build now follows. As a reminder: The term Release Candidate (RC) means that the software version, in this case macOS Big Sur 11.2, is close to being completed. The update primarily brings improvements for M1 Mac devices, bug fixes for Bluetooth, and more. It is expected that Apple will make the final version available to all users this week. macOS Big Sur 11.2 (20D53) Update Description:
macOS Big Sur 11.2 improves Bluetooth reliability and fixes the following issues:
- External displays may show a black screen when connected to a Mac mini (M1, 2020) via an HDMI-to-DVI converter
- Edits to Apple ProRAW photos in the Photos app may not be saved
- iCloud Drive could turn off after disabling the iCloud Drive Desktop & Documents folder option
- System settings may not be unlocked when you enter your administrator password
- The Globe key may not display the Emoji & Symbols window when pressed
