Apple released the Golden Master version of tvOS 13 for developers this evening. This means that this build is the final version of the new Apple TV operating system, which will soon be available to all users.
The beta phase of tvOS 13 lasted a total of three months - a total of eleven beta versions were released. The final build for developers has now been released. The update can therefore be downloaded on the Apple TV as usual. The new tvOS 13 is available for all Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K models.
What's new in tvOS 13
With tvOS 13, the Apple TV experience is significantly improved. The new functions allow users to experience the TV box even more extensively. In the future, games can be played under tvOS 13 with a Playstation 4 or Xbox joystick - you can find out how this works here. Apple gives users more freedom in controlling games. New home screen & multi-user support
In addition to the revised music experience, users of an Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K or newer will have access to their own Up Next list in the TV app for the first time. The highlight of the new features for the Apple TV is multi-user support. The TV box's home screen will also be revised.
The Apple TV 4K gets beautiful underwater HDR screensavers produced in collaboration with BBC Natural History. When Apple will release the new tvOS 13 for all users remains unknown - now that the Golden Master version has been released, the release should be within reach.
