Apple released an important firmware update for the new AirPods Pro this evening.
The new firmware update is called 2B588 - however, the update description does not specifically say what the update is intended for. However, it is intended to improve connectivity and fix errors. Since some users have complained about connection problems, it can be assumed that the update is intended to fix exactly these. The AirPods Pro are automatically updated in the background as soon as they are connected to an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Since the update has only just been released, it may take some time before all AirPods Pro users can access it - so patience is requested here. If you want to check the current firmware of your plugs yourself, you can do so as follows.
Connect your AirPods Pro to an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Now open the settings and navigate to the "Info" section. Further down you will find the menu item "AirPods Pro". If the firmware version is 2B584, you will have to be patient as there is no way to force the update. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
