Apple's payment service was introduced in the USA in October 2014. Now, after a long wait, Apple Pay has also arrived in the Netherlands.
After launching in Hungary and Luxembourg last month, Apple Pay went live in the Netherlands today. This means that iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac users can now use Apple's mobile payment service in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, Apple Pay is currently only supported by ING. However, more banks are expected to join in the coming months - but for now, ING remains the only option for our Dutch neighbors.
