The time has now come. Volksbanken are also currently updating their contract terms and conditions – adapted to Apple Pay.
While the savings bank is in the starting blocks and a "GO" should be given soon, the Volksbanken are updating their contract terms. As has now become known, the Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank (DZ Bank) has started distributing new documents. These are currently being issued to the individual financial institutions. Accordingly, the updated contract terms should soon be available online for all customers. Point 2.1 states:
Apple Pay is available on all Apple iOS devices with a secure element and enables mobile payments worldwide at all stationary card acceptance points that accept contactless Mastercard/Visa cards. Payments in apps and on the Internet are only possible if Apple Pay is offered as a payment method by the operator of the app or website.
This means that the Volksbanken could also keep their promise and release support for Apple Pay this year - the promise was made at the beginning of the year. When the starting signal will actually be given remains to be seen, of course. If you would like to read the five-page PDF yourself, you can find it below. (Image: DZ Bank)
