Apple Pay was introduced in Germany on December 11, 2018. With Apple's payment service, iPhone and Apple Watch can replace credit cards.
It has now been almost four months since Apple Pay was launched in this country after a long wait. Customers of the financial institutions Consors Finanz and Viabuy can be happy - both institutions now support the mobile payment service Apple Pay. This means that customers can add their Mastercard to their iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch and get started.
Which banks support Apple Pay?
Agreements with the individual banks are necessary for payment processing - Apple has to conclude separate contracts here. Apple maintains a list of participating banks in this country. Apple's banking partners include Deutsche Bank, HypoVereinsbank, Hanseatic Bank, Fidor, Comdirect, O2 Banking, N26, bunq, boon, Vimpay, Consors Finanz, Viabuy and Edenred. Visa, MasterCard + Maestro and American Express are also on board. In 2019, Revolut, Sodexo, ING-Diba, Fleetmoney, Crosscard, savings banks, DKB, Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken and Consors Bank. It was recently announced that Apple’s mobile payment service will soon be available in Austria will launch – an official confirmation from Apple is still pending.

The largest German electronics chain Media Markt is announcing an Apple promotion to mark the 40th anniversary with the slogan "Apple at great prices". The products include several MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone models. The HomePod, Apple Watch and an Apple TV are also included. The promotion is valid from April 3rd to April 8th inclusive.
