Boon has so far been a solid interim solution for iPhone users who were unable to use Apple Pay through their regular bank. Now the payment service provider wants to waive fees in the future.
With the title “The best things in life are free. boon. now too!” the company informs about the abolition of monthly fees. This is what it says in the notice:
"Yeah, boon. is doing away with the monthly fee - and you can finally use boon. for free. This way you save the €1.49/CHF/£1.49 per month that was previously charged after the 3-month trial period. You can find all the information about this in your boon. app under Fees & Limits or under Conditions."
But that's not all. In addition to the monthly fee, there is also no foreign transaction fee. This is what the website says:
"With boon. you can send annoying fees on their way - forever. Because from now on you can use boon. worldwide without any foreign transaction fees. After all, nobody wants to worry about unnecessary costs on a business trip or beach holiday, right? So then: have a nice trip!"
What is Boon?
Users can easily create a virtual prepaid credit card through the provider Boon. The setup can be handled entirely via the in-house Boon app. To do this, an account is created and filled in with personal data. A German address and a valid mobile phone number are of course required - this is used to log in and reset the password. After registration is complete, the system automatically generates a virtual Mastercard. This can now be topped up via bank transfer or credit card. The card must then be added to the wallet app. However, anyone who wants to upgrade to boon.Plus must provide proof of identity. The advantages are higher limits, worldwide use and more. Did you know? The service can be canceled at any time. (Image: wirecard.com) – Thanks Andreas
