When Apple introduced the second generation of AirPods in March 2019, it included the option to engrave them for free. Now the company has added more engraving options.
Customers can have selected products engraved for free when ordering from the Apple Online Store - including the AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro. Up until now, however, emojis were not included. This is now changing in part. Apple has used a large banner to draw attention to an innovation in the area of AirPods engraving. With the title "New personal engravings - from A to Emoji", Apple has expanded the options. Accordingly, future buyers of Apple's popular earbuds can design the case with an emoji. There are a total of 31 small faces to choose from, including the most popular ones such as heart, cat, alien, skull and more.
However, the change only applies to AirPods engravings and is of course free of charge. The option can only be selected when ordering under "Add engraving". Unfortunately, subsequent engraving is not possible. (Photo by Eremin / Bigstockphoto)
