About the Apple Music Awards
Apple has designed a series of physical awards that represent the exceptional craftsmanship necessary to create music. Each award consists of a silicon wafer custom-built by Apple, sandwiched between a polished glass panel and a machined and anodized aluminum casing.

The result of this process, which takes several months to complete before being broken down into hundreds of individual chips, is stunning and distinctive. The same chips that power the devices that bring the world's music to listeners' fingertips are at the heart of the Apple Music Awards. (Image: Apple)
