We recently reported that evidence had been discovered that suggested an Apple Music app would be available on the PlayStation 5. Now there is news.
After the first clues were discovered, Apple itself has now provided more clarity or hinted at the whole thing. As Tom Warren of The Verge reported, Apple updated a website yesterday promoting a special Apple Music offer for buyers of new AirPods or Beats products. At the very bottom, there was a section about where users can listen to Apple Music.
Apple Music app for PlayStation and Co.
In addition to Apple devices, smart TVs and even streaming devices, website mentioned that Apple Music is also available on "game consoles". However, there is currently no Apple Music app for consoles. Interestingly, Apple later updated the offer website again. But this time the reference to the Apple Music app for consoles was removed. Although Apple did not name a specific device, it is likely that the Apple Music app will be made available for the PlayStation 5 and possibly PlayStation 4. In addition, there are rumors that Apple wants to include newer Xbox consoles. As soon as the whole thing becomes official, we will of course report on it as always. (Image: Apple)
