Apple Maps now also offers bicycle navigation in Germany, allowing users throughout Germany to receive turn-by-turn directions while cycling.
Apple Maps provides cyclists with directions along bike lanes and bike-friendly roads where possible, with details such as elevation, traffic density, and whether there are stairs along the route. On Apple Watch, voice guidance and haptic feedback make it easier to stay focused on the route.
Apple Maps becomes more attractive for German cyclists
Apple Maps has also launched its “Detailed City Experience” in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich rolled out. The revamped experience features more detailed road markings, additional personalized 3D models of landmarks, and more. Apple Maps bike lanes are also available in the US, China, and Japan, as well as in select major cities such as London, Barcelona, and Toronto. This puts Apple in a position to catch up with Google Maps, which began rolling out bike lanes in 2010 and now offers this feature in over 30 countries. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
