After numerous complaints, Apple has now acknowledged the problem with the butterfly keyboard and promises a free repair.
This means that users of devices that have problems will have the repair or replacement carried out free of charge by Apple or an authorized Apple dealer.
Apple describes the problems as follows:
– Characters are repeated unexpectedly
– Characters are not displayed
– One or more keys have too high a pressure resistance, hang after being struck or react inconsistently

MacBook (Retina, 12″, Early 2016)
MacBook (Retina, 12″, 2017)
MacBook Pro (13″, 2016, two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
