A few days ago it was reported that Apple wanted to extend its trade-in program to Macs. Now it's official.
The well-known Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman wrote about this a few days ago reportedthat Apple wants to include Mac devices in the trade-in program. Now his information has proven to be correct. From now on, old Macs will be purchased if customers intend to buy a new model - or they choose a voucher. However, the new trade-in program is initially only available in the United States and Canada available.
Trade-in program is often criticized
Trade in your device for credit toward your next purchase, or get an Apple Store Gift Card to use anytime. If your device doesn't qualify for credit, we'll recycle it for free. No matter the model or condition, we can turn it into something that's good for you and good for the planet.
It has been possible to trade in iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches and Android devices for a long time - but Macs were not allowed until now. It remains to be seen whether customers will actually take advantage of this. After all, Apple's trade-in program is repeatedly criticized because the prices are significantly below market value. It is currently unknown whether and when the Mac division will be included in the program in this country. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
