The Mac mini was first introduced in 2005 and was last updated by Apple in 2014. After numerous rumors and leaks, it is less surprising that Apple has finally updated the device.
performance and design
Little has changed on the outside, but the professional device shines on the inside. Four processor cores are now standard. However, Apple offers the option of purchasing the device with six cores. The Mac mini can also be equipped with up to 64 GB of RAM and 2 TB of flash storage. The T2 chip ensures greater security.
connections
The device comes with four USB-C ports, 2x USB-A and HDMI 2.0. A 10 GBit Ethernet port is optional. Users with higher demands should therefore get their money's worth.
Prices and availability
The basic model offers a 3.6 GHz quad-core i3 processor of the 8th generation, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB flash memory. The variant is priced at 899 euros - slightly cheaper than analysts expected. The Mac mini can also be pre-ordered now. Delivery starts on November 7th.
