Apple today introduced the new Mac mini lineup, featuring M2 and M2 Pro chips. The M2 Mac mini starts at a new, lower price of $699.
The M2 Pro chip features a 12-core CPU and a 19-core GPU with up to 32GB of RAM. The new Mac mini is available for pre-order starting today, with first shipments arriving next week, starting January 24. The Mac mini continues to offer a wide range of inputs and outputs. The M2 Mac mini has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, Gigabit Ethernet (10-gigabit option), and a headphone jack. The M2 Pro Mac mini, on the other hand, has two additional Thunderbolt 4 ports. Both Mac mini configurations support WiFi 6E, the fastest wireless networking standard. The devices also support Bluetooth 5.3.

Apple announces new Mac mini models
Compared to the previous generation M1 Mac mini, the M2 Pro loud Apple offers up to 2.5 times faster performance in Affinity Photo, 4.2 times faster ProRes transcoding in Final Cut Pro and up to 2.8 times faster gameplay in Resident Evil Village. You can order the new Mac mini now from the Apple Online Store. The base model configuration for 699 euros includes an M2 chip with 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 256 GB SSD and 8 GB RAM. The base configuration for 1,549 euros for the M2 Pro chip has a 10-core CPU, a 16-core GPU, 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD. The new product line also means that Apple has now stopped selling the Intel Mac mini, so the Mac Pro is the only remaining Mac with an Intel processor. (Image: Apple)
