With iOS 13.3, Apple has improved spam protection within the Messages application.
Apple has published a new support document titled “If you see a notification that your message was delivered as spam.” It states:
iOS 13.3 includes improvements to minimize spam messages in the Messages app, which may impact certain messages you send.
The feature contains an additional warning for the sender. This means that if the recipient has not saved the sender contact, the message could potentially be marked as spam. In such a case, the sender is informed with a warning under iOS 13.3 or later. In this case, the message recipient should, for example, save the contact - according to Apple. Alternatively, the recipient contact could also start a conversation to prevent the spam marking. You can find the full support document below. You can find all the new features in iOS 13.3 here.
