Apple Fitness+ will also be available to iPhone users without Apple Watch starting with iOS 16.1 and tvOS 16.1, which are currently in beta testing.
In the second beta of iOS 16.1, which was distributed to developers on Tuesday evening, user Jadyn Daniel notedthat it is now possible to subscribe to Apple Fitness+ on the iPhone without owning an Apple Watch. This also applies to the Apple TV, as the second beta of tvOS 16.1 also supports Apple Fitness+ without an Apple Watch. Apple has already announced that Fitness+ will be available for iPhone users who do not own an Apple Watch from "fall" in all 21 countries where the service is currently offered.
Apple Fitness+ now available without Apple Watch
Apple Fitness+ was launched in December 2020 and offers a media library with over 3,000 training and meditation videos, with new content added weekly. The subscription-based service is available via the Fitness app on the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV and costs 9.99 euros per month or 79.99 euros per year in Germany - family sharing is included.
