It's a sensation. Apple and Amazon recently signed a new deal. The iGroup will become an official Amazon seller.
Apple will offer a wide range of products on Amazon in the future. Both companies announced this. The iGroup will offer, among other things, the latest devices from 2018 and some selected products from the Beats family - including the recently released iPad Pro. Since the Homepod competes with Amazon's Echo, the smart speaker will of course be excluded. The deal between the two giants applies to the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, India and Japan. An exact launch date was not given - but early 2019 should be realistic.
Smaller retailers suffer
This change is not pleasing for everyone. Smaller sellers will suffer as a result. From January 4, 2019, they will no longer be allowed to sell used or refurbished Apple products on Amazon without permission. In order to obtain permission to sell such products, the dealers in question must be officially certified by the iGroup.
