Now it's happened again. New photos show the Apple Card announced for the summer in physical form. The juicy part: The pictures are said to come directly from Cupertino.
The well-known leaker Ben Geskin published pictures of the new Apple Card a few hours ago. According to him, these pictures were leaked to him by an Apple employee. To protect his source, Geskin used Photoshop to replace the name on the credit card with his own. The pictures show the card from both sides. There is also a reference to NFC functionality on the packaging. To activate the Apple Card, all you need to do is hold up your iPhone.
This then connects to its digital counterpart in the iPhone Wallet. According to Geskin, an internal beta program has been launched to test the Apple Card.
bonus system and no fees
Like many other credit card providers, the Apple Card will also have a bonus system. Users of this card will receive a two percent discount on every payment. Purchases from Apple itself will be rewarded with a three percent discount. The bonus is called Apple Cash and will be paid out to users every day. Anyone who chooses Apple's credit card can register directly via the Wallet app. There will be no monthly or annual fee.
Privacy is very important
Apple promises not to have any insight into users' purchases. In addition, the credit card number itself is not transmitted - when a purchase is started, a unique code is transmitted. This is generated anew with each purchase.
availability
The physical card made of titanium is expected to be available in the summer. It does not contain any traditional information like other cards. Apple wants to use its own credit card to ensure the confidentiality of customer data. Apple Card will initially only be available in the USA. It remains unknown when it will be introduced here.
