The rumors surrounding Project Titan – the Apple Car – just won't let up. Now Apple has a new employee – Porsche's Vice President of Chassis Development.
Since the beginning of January, we have been surrounded by rumors about the Apple Car. They don’t seem to want to let up. Now reported Business Insider Germany reported that Apple has poached Dr. Manfred Harrer from the German sports car manufacturer Porsche. Anyone who still doubts Apple's car plans should pay attention to this news. After the company poached numerous Tesla employees, Porsche is now following suit. Dr. Harrer has more than a decade of experience at Porsche. Most recently, he was responsible for the Cayenne series. His management of chassis development dates back to 2016.
Apple Car: Hyundai has confirmed talks
Now he has a new employer. According to Business Insider Germany, Porsche, Apple and Dr. Harrer declined to comment on the report. Hyundai recently announced that it was in talks with Apple about producing a car. However, the announcement was withdrawn a day later. Later, reportsthat Hyundai is worried about being relegated to being just an Apple "service provider." Overall, there are several indications, including from Apple's corner, that the company is working on several new projects, including the Apple Car.
