Along with the official announcement of WWDC 2021, Apple today announced its annual Swift Student Challenge. Interested parties can register now.
Apple announced the annual WWDC Swift Student Challenge in the WWDC press release. This year's prizes include exclusive WWDC apparel, a custom pin set, and membership in the Apple Developer Program. WWDC 2021 will be completely virtual and is scheduled for June 7-11. One of the big advantages is that, like last year, anyone from all over the world can attend the developer conference - and, above all, for free. The press release states:
We're continuing our long-standing tradition of supporting students who love to code with this year's exciting Swift Student Challenge. Show your passion for coding by creating an incredible Swift playground on a theme of your choosing. Winners will receive exclusive WWDC21 outerwear, a custom pin set, and a one-year membership to the Apple Developer Program. This competition is open to students around the world.
WWDC Swift Student Challenge: Please note the terms and conditions
This year's goal is: "Create an interactive scene in a Swift playground that can be experienced within three minutes. Be creative." Students interested in participating in the program can register now. The deadline is Sunday, April 18, 2021. Full terms and conditions and other requirements can be found on the dedicated website. Apple also runs the Swift Student Challenge forums, which are considered a great resource for connecting with other participants. (Image: Apple)
