Apple has announced that the Apple Al Maryah Island Store in Abu Dhabi will open on Friday, February 25, 2022.
After Apple recently informed local media in Abu Dhabi that the new Apple Store on Al Maryah Island will soon open, the company has now officially announced the opening date. The new store will open with "special programs for creatives, local businesses and families," according to Apple. Apple's Senior Vice President of Retail + People, Deirdre O'Brien, expressed as follows:
We couldn't be more excited to open the stunning Apple Al Maryah Island this Friday. Our talented team is ready to welcome and delight customers from this vibrant community at our newest location in the Emirates.
Apple Al Maryah Island opens its doors on Friday
Apple describes the new store as a "dramatic waterfront" and says it is "set above tiers of cascading water." Located in the heart of Abu Dhabi's financial district, the new Apple Store creates "a direct connection from the Galleria Al Maryah Island to the water's edge." It is the first time an Apple Store has used Absolute Black granite.
It also features a gold carbon fiber roof that was "locally sourced in the United Arab Emirates." Apple Al Maryah Island will open on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 5 p.m. local time.
