The new AirPods are now available for 229 euros with a wireless charging case. Alternatively, the plugs can also be purchased with the first generation charging case for 179 euros. AirPods 1 users can get the wireless charging case separately for 89 euros. According to Apple, the new AirPods should offer 50 percent more talk time - this is made possible by the new H1 chip. In addition, switching devices should now work faster.

The new AirPods also have the “Hey Siri” function for the first time, so that the wearer can trigger Siri commands using just their voice. But how much does it cost to repair the popular earbuds? If the guarantee period has expired, 75 euros will be charged, regardless of whether both plugs or just one are affected. If the charging case is weak, 55 euros will also be due - it only becomes more expensive outside the guarantee period. The first generation case therefore costs 65 euros - the model with wireless charging function costs a whopping 85 euros.
