Apple seems to be planning to introduce a new MacBook model. How do I know that? I'm a crystal ball gazing expert! OK, that was a lie. A new entry in the Eurasian database has revealed it to us once again.
If manufacturers want to bring new devices onto the market, they must first register them with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) - as some of you already know. This means that the EEC database records all devices that are based on encryption technologies - which means that almost all Apple hardware products appear in it at some point. Now for the facts. The US blog MacRumors has discovered a new entry in the EEC database that documents a previously unknown device with the identifier A2289. It describes a portable computer with the macOS Catalina operating system. This means that it is a MacBook. It is not possible to identify which model it is.
press release most likely
However, this could be an update of the MacBook Pro 13". Rumor has it that an update of the model was planned next. Like its big brother - the MacBook Pro 16" - this could get the new scissor-based keyboard and appear with an edge-to-edge display. This means that the device could possibly have a 14" display. Furthermore, an increase in performance is of course to be expected. When Apple will finally present the new model remains to be seen. An introduction via press release is most likely at this point.
