Apple announced the App Store Small Business Program in a press release and explained that under certain conditions the App Store fees would be reduced. Small companies that make less than a million dollars in sales would pay around 15 percent commission instead of the previous 30 percent. Under the new program, which launches January 1, 2021, the vast majority of developers who sell digital goods and services on the App Store can qualify for a reduced 15 percent commission.
