At the end of September last year, the AusweisApp2 was released in the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The application has now received an important update.
The new update of the AusweisApp2 was published on all platforms. According to a press release:
The AusweisApp2 version 1.20 for computers and smartphones has a completely new design for PCs and Macs, which makes it much easier to use. The mobile applications for smartphones and tablets also have valuable new functions.
While the Mac and Windows versions have undergone a fundamental overhaul, the smartphone app has been given improved readability and a new settings area.
The mobile apps have been improved in two main areas. To improve readability, the color contrasts and fonts within the application have been adjusted in accordance with the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). This also means that screen reading applications for visually impaired people are better supported on Android and iOS. The second major change is that all of the app's settings options have been brought together in a new, clearly structured menu item.
