The well-known Amazon Prime Video app has disappeared without a trace from the App Store – after countless speculations, a reason now seems to be known.
If you search for the Amazon Prime Video app in the iOS or tvOS app store, you won't find it. The application seems to have been removed. There is already a lot of speculation in various forums - could a new dispute between Amazon and Apple be the reason? All clear - no! Apparently this is a technical error, as Michelle Castillo from Variety announced on Twitter. The application should be available again very soon. Anyone who has already downloaded the app can continue to use it without restrictions - it also appears as normal in the "Purchases" section. What caused the error is currently unknown. It is suspected that it is related to yesterday's update.
update 10:20 pm – The application should be available again for all users in the App Store.
