Amazon has confirmed that it will hold its Amazon Prime Day sales event on Monday, June 21 through Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
After the annual sale was postponed to October in 2020 due to COVID-19, Amazon has moved it forward a bit this time. Instead of the traditional July date, it will take place in the third week of June. Amazon Prime Day originally took place on a single day in July 2015, launched to mark the retailer's 20th anniversary. It returned in 2016, and in 2017 the 24-hour sale was extended to 30 hours.
Amazon Prime Day: Save as much as you can
In 2018, the event was extended to 36 hours. In 2019, the current two-day format was introduced. This format consists of releasing a series of discounted special offers on over a million deals during the event. To enjoy the offers, customers must be a member of Amazon Prime - but they can sign up for a 30-day trial of the service to qualify. You can find out more about Prime Day on the Amazon homepage. As always, we will of course report on the coolest offers and the corresponding products in our Amazon Storefront link. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
