Apple has now released a second revised version of the AirTags firmware, which was already made available to AirTags owners at the end of August.
The new internal build number is 1A291e, while the previous version was 1A291c. It is not known what changes the version contains. As a reminder, the AirTags update released in June includes anti-stalking improvements. Since there is no information about firmware 1.0.291 so far, it is not known what new features or adjustments the updates contain. However, we can assume that Apple has fixed some bugs.
AirTag Firmware: Over-the-Air Update
If there is any news regarding the version, we will of course report on it. Regarding the update itself, there is no way to force an AirTag update, as it is automatically triggered over-the-air by a connected iPhone. To make sure that the update is carried out, you can put your AirTag within range of your iPhone. However, you will have to be patient, as the update is rolled out gradually. Are you looking for suitable AirTag cases? Then take a look at Amazon. In our AirTag list you will find the trackers and accessories from Apple and third-party providers - enjoy browsing.
