Apple has somewhat surprisingly released a new firmware update for the AirPods Pro.
The AirPods Pro currently have firmware version 2D15. Once the update has been carried out, the popular earbuds should run firmware 2D27. At the moment, there are no details about what new features the update has in store. Since there were some complaints about the ANC feature in the last update, an improvement could follow in 2D27. As a reminder: Some AirPods Pro wearers want crackling and popping noises Generally, such updates often contain performance improvements, bug fixes and feature adjustments. At this point, it remains to be seen what users have to say in the next few days.
The update is automatic
The AirPods update usually occurs automatically as soon as the AirPods are connected to a device and in use. However, this process can be delayed. In some cases, however, the update can also be forced immediately. To do this, connect the AirPods case to a power source, remove the AirPods and pair them with an iPhone or iPad. The update could then start immediately. However, there is no guarantee that this will happen.
