Apple recently released a firmware update for the AirPods Max. The new features were initially unclear. But now it is claimed that the update should fix problems with battery life.
The AirPods Max have reportedly had issues with battery life. The report published earlier this week update should now provide a remedy. The developer Guilherme Rambo reports on Twitter:
AirPods Max battery drain in Smart Case before and after the latest firmware update. I think they fixed it.
Jason Cipriani also made the same observation and confirmed a positive change.
AirPods Max: Some users contradict the reports
Interestingly, not every user is convinced. There are still reports that the battery problems are still there. However, since the update was only recently released, the whole thing should be treated with caution. Whether the fix actually worked remains to be seen. After all, something like this has to be observed over a longer period of time. Incidentally, the update is supposed to solve a second problem. Rambo reports:
It also appears to have fixed an issue where the AirPods Max could crash shortly after connecting to a new device.
Unfortunately, since Apple does not provide an update description, we have no choice but to speculate and observe user reports. It remains to be seen where the general consensus will lead. (Image: Apple)
