Apple today released a completely unexpected firmware update for the AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro.
The new AirPods update has the build number 3A283 and is intended for both the second generation and the Pro version of the earbuds. Until now, 2D15 was running on the AirPods 2 while the AirPods Pro were equipped with 2D27. Apple usually does not publish an update description when it comes to updating the popular plug It remains unknown for the time being what exactly the new firmware has to offer. However, a software update is expected that supports iOS 14 and enables spatial audio on the AirPods Pro. The AirPods are usually updated automatically as soon as the AirPods are connected to a device and in use. However, this process can be delayed. In some cases, however, the update can also be forced immediately. To do this, connect the AirPods case to a power source, take out the AirPods and pair them with an iPhone or iPad. The update could then start immediately. However, there is no guarantee of this.
