In all probability, Apple will present us two new iPad models this year. The biggest innovation: the introduction of Face ID.
Specifically, 12.9" and 10.5" devices are to be released. Both will initially do without Touch ID and will be equipped with Face ID. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is also said to be history. The dimensions are also said to already be known. Accordingly, the 12.9" model will measure 280 mm x 215 mm x 6.4 mm and the 10.5" model will be 247.5 mm x 178.7 mm x 6 mm.
New shell with strange gap spotted
Two images of a new case for the upcoming iPad Pro have appeared on the Slashleaks portal.
The special thing about the case: It has a hole on the bottom above the lightning port. At the moment we can only guess what the cutout could be for. Nevertheless, there are already initial speculations. Apple could have installed a new magnetic connector in this place. This would be intended for accessories such as keyboards. Until now, the Smart Connector was installed on the side of the iPad Pro.
However, there is also a recess at this point, as can be seen in the pictures.
release
What the hole could be for is still unknown. At this point in time, we can only speculate as to whether this is the real cover. Apple will present the new iPad Pro models in the fall. Two dates are conceivable for this. The iGroup could present them alongside the new iPhones in September or in October together with the new Macs. The second option is more likely.
