Apple recently announced the dates for its 34th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The annual keynote will take place on Monday, June 5th and is expected to showcase the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. In addition, Apple may also make hardware announcements.
It is rumored that Apple could introduce at least three new devices this year. One of them is the 15-inch MacBook Air, which is expected to be released alongside a new version of the 13.6-inch MacBook Air. The 15-inch MacBook Air is expected to offer an alternative to the MacBook Pro for customers looking for a lighter device with a larger screen. The new Mac Pro is expected to be unveiled at WWDC 2023. The Apple Silicon Mac Pro is expected to use an "M2 Ultra" chip with a CPU with up to 24 cores and a graphics processor with up to 76 cores. The design will be similar to the current Mac Pro, with a stainless steel frame and an aluminum chassis that allows easy access to the internal components.
WWDC 2023: Will Apple unveil the new AR/VR headset?
Another device that may be unveiled at WWDC 2023 is Apple's AR/VR headset. The headset is expected to feature 4K Micro-OLED displays and more than a dozen cameras capable of capturing facial expressions and hand gestures. However, the device is expected to be expensive, with an estimated price of at least $3,000 for the first generation. In addition to new devices, Apple will also unveil new software versions, including iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Ventura 14, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10. iOS 17 is expected to bring support for AR/VR headsets, major CarPlay updates, and support for sideloading apps in European countries.
