Real gaming on the iPhone and iPad requires a good controller, right? Apple knows this too - in response, the Apple online shop has now been expanded.
Since iOS 13, iPadOS and tvOS 13, users can finally play with a genuine Dualshock 4 (Playstation 4) and/or with an Xbox wireless controller - provided the respective title offers controller support. But not every mobile gamer has a home console. Anyone who is actually interested will now buy a suitable joystick and Apple wants to simplify the whole thing. Users can now purchase Microsoft's Xbox wireless controller directly from Apple in the online shop or in an Apple store. The newly added offer has already been advertised by Apple on Twitter - see below. Some now believe that Apple indirectly recommends the Xbox joystick because the Dualshock 4 is not offered - this of course leaves a lot of room for speculation. Whether Apple will add the Dualshock 4 to its range at a later date remains open for now.
Price on Amazon significantly cheaper
In any case, the controller can be ordered now for 59.95 euros – delivery will begin on October 11th – collection in the store would be possible today. Alternatively, the same joystick is available on Amazon – this offer may be even more attractive for bargain hunters, because the online shipping giant has Xbox Wireless Controller for 48.99 euros available.
