Under the motto “Power your Dreams”, Microsoft surprisingly unveiled the next generation console – Xbox Series X.
Microsoft caused a big surprise at the Game Awards 2019. During a presentation, the new Xbox Series X was unexpectedly presented under the motto "Power your Dreams". It appears in a timeless design and is reminiscent of a small computer - a gaming computer?
For eighteen years and three console generations, the Xbox community has shown us the power that both games and fun can have on all of us. As we move into a new generation of gaming, we see a future where you are instantly drawn into your games - where worlds are even more realistic, immersive, responsive and surprising - and where you are at the center of your gaming experience. With the new Xbox Series X, we will realize that vision.
Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox

In addition to the console, a new generation of controllers will also be launched. The new Xbox Wireless Controller is now supposed to be more compact and contain useful features.
Its size and shape have been refined to accommodate an even larger number of people and it also features a new Share button to make capturing screenshots and game clips easy, as well as an advanced d-pad derived from the Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller. The new Xbox Wireless Controller is compatible with Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs and will be included with every Xbox Series X.
Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox
The new Xbox Series X is due to be released at the end of 2020. Not much is known about the price - and the exact specifications have not been fully disclosed either. But a few details are now official. The new Xbox Series X will be equipped with a latest-generation AMD Zen 2 processor - but what the chip will actually look like is still unknown. The graphics processor of the Xbox Series X will be based on the AMD RDNA graphics architecture. Officially, the new console will continue to rely on 4K visualization at 60 FPS. Support for 120 FPS and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and 8K capability are also available - explains Spencer.

Additionally, our patented Variable Rate Shading (VRS) technology will enable developers to get even more out of the Xbox Series X GPU, and our next-generation SSD will virtually eliminate load times, getting players into their game world faster than ever before. We're minimizing latency by leveraging technologies like Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and providing developers with new features like Dynamic Latency Input (DLI) to make Xbox Series X the most responsive console ever.
Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox
The Xbox Series X was also designed for cloud gaming on both the software and hardware level and offers unique features. But that's not all. The backwards compatibility includes all Xbox generations. Owners of the new console can therefore play all their Xbox games on the new beast from Microsoft. No further details were given during this presentation. According to Spencer, more information will follow next year. You want more gaming? In our Amazon Online Shop you will find the latest games for every console. (Image: Microsoft / Xbox)
