The popular App Store title Mario Kart Tour will soon receive a long-awaited expansion – the real-time multiplayer mode.
The wait is finally over. Nintendo has announced that the long-awaited real-time multiplayer mode for Mario Kart Tour will be released on March 8th. Unlike the beta, this will be available to all users. A Gold Pass membership will no longer be required. According to Nintendo, there will be three different ways to play the real-time multiplayer mode in Mario Kart Tour:
With friends or other people nearby: Choose your own rules and ride with friends or others nearby; the rules don't change
standard race: Race against players from around the world to increase your score with daily changing rules; two sets of rules change daily
Golden Races: Available exclusively to MKT Gold Pass subscribers who compete with the best of the best for the highest level; four rule sets change daily

During the beta phase, the new game mode was limited to Gold Pass members. This led fans to believe that the final version would also require a subscription. But that is not the case.
