Apple released its new gaming service Apple Arcade on tvOS 13 a few hours ago.
A few days ago, the Golden Master of tvOS 13 released – users of this test version can now play Apple Arcade on the smart TV box. The subscription service was launched last week with the launch of iOS 13 officially launched and will be expanded to the iPad this evening with iPadOS. According to Apple, the service will include around 100 different game titles by the end of the year - a seamless transition between the individual devices is made possible thanks to iCloud. There are currently around 70 games from various categories available - the monthly subscription price is 4.99 euros - a free trial month and family sharing are of course included. Since Apple Arcade has no advertising or in-app purchases and enables offline gaming, the service is particularly interesting for many users. The game status is saved in iCloud and synchronized with other devices - a smooth transition is thus guaranteed. Most of the games can also be played with a controller - read more here.
tvOS 13 and macOS Catalina follow
Since Apple has released the Golden Master version of tvOS 13, the final launch of the new Apple TV operating system should be within reach. tvOS 13 was actually supposed to be released at the end of the month - but there is a possibility that Apple will release the update soon - maybe even tonight?!
Apple Arcade will of course be playable on the Mac as well as the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV as soon as Apple has released the new macOS 10.15 Catalina. The upcoming Mac operating system will be released sometime in October. (Photo by Konstantin Savusia / Bigstockphoto)
