Sparkasse has today released an update for its own app – this serves to optimize Apple Pay.
Wait – don't get me wrong! No, Apple Pay is not yet available for Sparkasse customers, but it will probably be soon. The financial institution has today released an update for its own app that is intended to make the application compatible with Apple Pay. The update description states the following:
The savings banks will introduce Apple Pay for credit cards in 2019. With the launch of this service, a new menu item "Apple Pay" will be activated at all participating savings banks. From this date, you can use this to store your Mastercard or Visa credit card or your Sparkasse basic card (debit card) for Apple Pay and you are ready to go for the simple, secure and confidential payment method with your iPhone and any Apple device that supports Apple Pay.

In addition to the Apple Pay integration, further optimizations were made for photo transfers and foreign transactions. A specific launch date for Apple Pay was not given. But given this update, it shouldn't be long now. Apple's payment service could therefore soon be available for Sparkasse customers. (Photo by deagreez / Bigstockphoto)
